Content Development for Film & Television
Kerry College is delighted to announce the establishment of a new Film & TV Course for the southwest region. The course is intended to function as an engine for growing content production in the region. It will have a strong practical and creative focus and will complement Kerry College’s long-running, well-renowned course in Broadcast Production Skills.
This course is designed to focus on developing screenplays for Film, Scripted Television and Documentary through practical, project-based learning.
The following are some of the industry professionals who will work in partnership with this course.
Gerard Barrett – Screenwriter/Director/Producer
Maurice Sweeney – Screenwriter/Director
Mark O’Rowe – Screenwriter/Director
Pat Shortt – Actor/Screenwriter/Director
Nathan Nugent – Editor/Film/TV
This course will act as a safe haven to create, write and develop your film and television projects, hand in hand with the industry, whether they are in film, scripted television, animation or documentary format.
Through this course, you will be given the exclusive opportunity to exhibit your developed projects to the industry and pitch them to producers, studios, commissioners, broadcasters as well as other experienced industry professionals.
Places are limited to 12 students with a national intake of learners.
This course is 100% free with no payable fees. All course materials will be provided.
Applicants may also be eligible for funding such as training and accommodation allowances for the full 40-week duration of the course. Please speak to our Admissions team for more information.
